What we run
AlfaLinks is a developer API for backlinks, referring domains, anchor text, top pages and a 0-100 Domain Rating. A free online explorer sits next to it.
The data comes from our own crawler and our own link index: 181,132,097 domains, 2,774,625,913 domain-to-domain links and about 798.5 billion backlinks. It refreshes roughly once a month, which means very recent links may not show.
We write for product engineers, because they are the people who have to make a number fit into a screen without breaking it. Our pages therefore talk about caching, error codes and per-seat arithmetic more than about SEO theory.
What we do not do
No keyword database. No rank tracking. No daily crawl.
For those, Ahrefs and Semrush are the fuller products, and we say so wherever the comparison comes up. Our strength is link data at a low per-call price, with no subscription.
Our notes use hypothetical examples and label them. We have no customer stories. None are quoted. Start with the setup guide or the cost comparison.

Reach us through the account page. Questions about billing, bad responses and unusual use cases all start in the same place, and the lookup page notes answer most of the abuse ones.
How we write these notes
Every page starts from a question a product team would ask in a planning meeting. How often should we refresh? Who pays for a lookup nobody owns?
We answer with the API's real prices and real error codes, then state what the answer does not cover. A page that admits the index is monthly and the DR formula is ours earns more trust than one that hides both, and it saves your support desk a few tickets.
Examples carry a label. If a number is invented for illustration, the sentence says it is an example, and you can swap in your own traffic to rerun it.
Our pages cover caching, score labels and spam flags among others.
Who it is for
Product managers, backend engineers, and founders of small SaaS tools. Mostly teams of two to twenty. Small teams ship fast and cannot afford a seat-based suite for every user, so per-call pricing suits them.
They typically have a domain field somewhere in their product, such as a site URL in onboarding, and they want to turn it into something useful without buying a suite for every user. A link counter, a DR badge or a competitor strip is often the whole ask.
If you need keyword research, rank tracking or a daily crawl, you want Ahrefs or Semrush, and that is fine. Use them alongside this.
The index in numbers
Here are the facts we can state. Nothing more. Anything we cannot show with a number or a price we leave out, since a product team has no use for a guess dressed up as a fact, and neither do we.
The graph holds 181,132,097 domains and 2,774,625,913 domain-to-domain links, with about 798.5 billion backlinks indexed, and a free domain backlinks checker in the explorer reads it at no cost, with no key needed for the basic lookups.
Pricing is prepaid credit at $0.0001 each, so a thousand calls start at $0.10. New accounts get $100 free, and sign-in is by Google account only.
Top-ups run in USDT on TRC-20 from the account page. Nothing renews by itself, and there is no monthly minimum to remember.
